Glaze firing

latest firing complete. the weather a little changeable during the reduction period of the firing so thismade smooth temperature rise a constant battle with the dampers. however, the colours and quality of finish i am happy with.
also a test glaze (new ash celadon)turned out well.

plants and plant pots

rhododendrons showing signs of life in the pottery garden.

smoke fired pots in progress

these pots are burnished(smoothed)and drying. they will then be fired to 1000celcius and next smoke fired using various resist techniques. one photo is shown a second time with a mug in view to give a sense of scale.
